Just to update you on what happened next! left Uyuni on the overnight bus back to Le Paz and flew to Buenos Aires on the 23rd popping top grade pain killers for an increasingly swollen, rainbow hued painful arm! BA quite a different city. Very cosmopolitan and much more prosperous. We arrived at our boutique hotel, which we had booked in London months previously bo be told room was not available because of some building works that had gone wrong! We were transferred to another less luxurious and rather quirky hotel run by a very fit guy called Louis. V disappointed at first but actually really liked it by end. On second day in BA finally decided arm needed medical attention. Went to A & E which was a bit like a scene from trainspotting to be told I had fractured it in 3 places and needed surgery. Flew home early on 26th so missed on the trip to Rio but doctors here feels it will knit back without surgery. feeling sore but had a fantastic trip. Adios amigos
