It seemed like we couldn't sleep in whilst in Stockholm! It didn't matter too much today as we had the alarm set to get into town for the 10am walking tour. It was (again) run by an Australian guy who was brilliant. Learnt some really cool things about Stockholm, and heard some interesting stories which are always good. Learnt what the 'Stockholm Syndrome' is all about and facts about certain Kings and their families. Afterwards we had an Italian style lunch which was yummy, and headed over to Djurgarden which is a little island that hosts quite a few museums. Of course, we went to the ABBA museum which surprisingly has only been opened since 2013. It was informative and interactive, very enjoyable. We then visited The Tre Kronor Museum which was part of The Royal Palace pass. This particular museum was built in the 13th century. The defensive wall and brick vaults form the roof and walls of the present day museum. It was destroyed by fire in 1697 but many objects were saved during excavations. We enjoyed an ice-cream afterwards and headed back to the accommodation. It was a bit cloudy this afternoon and rained a bit once we got off the metro. Bek has managed to plan the days in Stockholm and figure our where to go fairly easily which had been awesome and made the visit a really good experience!
