Your e-mail has prempted me to leave a message. Sounds like you are having fun. Just got back from Arolla and 15 hours driving. Trip was fun except for a 4 hour shopping trip at the beginning.
Have come back to find that my desk is in danger of being given to some first year Grrrr. Other than that everythig is ok. Anyway have fun in the outback!

Hey Monica,
I miss NZ! Want to move there! Australia sucks in comparison! Seeing all those pics bought back fond memories. I'm listening to The Exponents at the moment (obviously in holiday ended denial)! Can't wait to see you when you come back to Sydney!

Oh yes, and as a quick PS - i would like to add that I wquite concur with Marielle's comments on September 10th...very profound. Though I think calling you a "matkan" wa not entirely necessary... And I am loving the way Austaaalaaasssia is spelt. Sounds liek an Essex girl talking, don't you think
Come on Martin, do some flippin' work...no i dont want to.....you cant avoid it forever....yes i can...no you cant....but i dont want to...

Hey there! I just looked at your photos...I can't believe you put the hot tub one where people could see it!! Oh noooo!!!! hehe. I miss NZ, I wish that I could look out my bedroom window and see our Queenstown view...I miss it so much! I miss our group too. Seing the photos just brought it all back. sob :-( I think I must go find myself some fun stuff to do today! So far all I've done is cycle to tescos at 7am to get milk for my parents tea cos I used it all up! the joys of being back home... I would go riding but as I've said, my mum and sister broke my horse lol!! I might be able to do a bit, but she's had a month off so may go somewhat crazy... Enjoy Oz and if your new group aren't as good (which of course they can't be) take my idea and print off life size pics of us and take us with you!!! Speak to you soon. You rock in the pants!

Buenos Dias Monekkarr, or is that g'day...? You know, lovely though you are, one can quite easily go of someone you know. I was feeling reasonably chirpy until i read you adventures and realised that i have, in fact, a most boring existence by comparison. FYI Manchester is freezing, pouring with rain, and still - i can testify - decidedly northern.
You can make it up to me by buying a koala however. doesnt even have to be a large one - a baby one will do. I am mega jealous, and thus i have decided to go in a big huff for a while, at least until i make my next cup of tea. Have a super fantastico-mega-liciously-simply-quite-stupendously-ostentaciously-oh-so-merrily time my sweet, and keep writing those emails and making me look like i have exotic friends (i mean, not that chigwell isn't exotic...). I have my summer ball tomorrow, so i t will probably snow. Hasta pronto amiga..hey hey hey hey (or whatever you finns say). MWAH x

Hey Mon,
New Zealand looks amazing. You have some really cool photos. Good to see those trouser-come-shorts thingy came in useful!
Hopefully the weather in Australia has improved.
As for me, I'm still enjoying the new found freedom. Two more weeks before I enter the world of work...
Take care and enjoy,
Krish

Hi Mon!
Not sure if my reply to your email made it, so I thought I would try leaving a message. It is great to hear you are enjoying your travels and the photos are fantastic and your postcard safely arrived in Winchester :-)

Hey Monica,
What a fantastic time you're obviously having!!!! I'm green with envy!!! Mum, Dad and Marielle do their best to answer all my questions about what you're doing and where you are and what you've seen and what you've done and who you've met, etc, etc, etc, But this site is fantastic, thus saving me having to ask them anything again!! The photos are marvellous, but I'm willing to pay handsomely for an exciting video ~ say, one of you bungee jumping or something!!!!
Keep smiling!
Much love to you,
Paul

Hey Mon,
Got your post-card last week - mucho ta. My mum forwarded it on from Glos. Hope Aotearoa is well - no chance of seeing Conradson as he was at the RGS Conference last week grinning inanely.
Would say it's all quiet here, but it isn't! Found a lovely waterfront flat in Nottingham (very docklands), have been informed of my teaching load (1/3 of a 2nd year economic geography course and 3 lectures on methods), have been asked to sit on a panel at the Association of American Geographers annual shindig in San Fran and am generally stressed about it all!!!!! Mentalness - still, I'm on the academic gravy train which is all that matters...
Keep me updated and feel free to e-mail me as ever. You're definitely coming up to visit when you return!!
