Hello,

I have now reached Darwin - the capital city of the Northern Territory, and am closer to Singapore than I am to Sydney, and the closest to home that I have been for a long time.

I last updated this from Alice Springs, which by the way is not a very nice place, but rather scary even in the middle of the day and there is nothing there.

We've driven north through the Devil's Marbles, where temperatures reached 49c!!  And through Kakadu National Park and Lichfield National Park where this morning we cooled down in various rock pools and falls.  It's a bit cooler here in Darwin - below 40c at least, and our hostel at least has air con as trying to sleep in 30c heat during the night is not easy.

I've got a free day in Darwin tomorrow so not sure yet what I'm going to do.  Two of my group are leaving us and we are getting four new people.

That's about it from here. I have finally managed to upload three wks worth of photos for Oz.  I have only put in a selection as it's taken me long enough.  Hope you like them.
