Hello all,

The main image of Illinois is of Washington as they didn't have one of Chicago. I'm in the windy city - but not been blown away yet. Having a gd time although driving loads and we have an 11 hr drive tomorrow.

Since New York, I've been through about 4 different states, seen the Niagara Falls and spent ages in a mini bus. We had a lightning and thunder storm the first night that we camped and a heavy downpour the second. Obviously as we are now in a hotel, the weather is good again.

Araba (my tent mate) and I are getting very quick at putting our tent up and dismantling it again the next morning. Not keen on having to walk 5 mins or so to the toilet block with a torch through a field at 6am so that we can set off by 7.30am!!

We're off to the Sioux Indian lands tomorrow. Today went up the John Hancock tower and did a cycling tour of Chicago which was very good.

Anyway, it's nearly midnight here and as we've got to be ready for 6.45am I'm off to bed.
