I climbed that baby ->
(and it was easy)
I have learn`t things, deep things, about myself while climbing that Volcano. Firstly, i am an awesome mountaineer - our shurpur-like guide even commented on how strong and brave i was. Secondly, i f***ing hate volcano´s; it sounds stupid but they are surprisingly hot. Anyway, when i put the photo´s up you will see what i mean, i cant even keep a straight face near the lava, i am grimacing in every shot. Some stupid b**** even called me a p**** ..i was tempted to push her in (luckily for her, she was pretty fit).
It was only as i was leaving Antigua that i realised i had only explored a fraction of it; i manged to convince myself that i cared and i would explore it on my return - whenever that may be......(It was actually 3-6 days later. I cant remember exactly, i will explain my loss of memory in the next blog entry.)
At the time though, all i could think of was the place ahead. We had heard ridiculous stories of this place, it sounded almost legendary. A drug obsessed town on the edge of a mountain lake. When i first heard of San Pedro, i knew destiny was calling ...San Pedro turned out to be stranger in person than even the rumors suggested....
