hey guys,Finally have some good news.... I started work on Friday with Pierse Contracting as Site Clerk on a €80m hotel and apartment project in the city! I have my own office, there's around 20 management staff onsite and I also get free meals and drinks! Everything is very unorganised, inefficient and safety is basically non existant! On friday we had a fire and 2 minor incidents and that's a quiet day apparently! The overhead tower cranes are always dropping stuff and this company is one of the better ones. I guess I'll get used to it..... at least their a funny bunch of irish guys and a few polish labourers who wolf whistle at anything on legs.We went to Co. Kerry a few weekends ago for Rally of the Lakes. We stopped in Killarney, Kenmare and Tralee with Gav, Jen and his work colleagues. We got loads of free meals and drinks curtisey of Prodrive (Gav's work)! We had a great time, the weather even turned it on the Saturday with sun allday when we went sightseeing around the Ring of Kerry. We randomly meet a couple, that are friends of my folks in the Hill who were on holidays. The world is a small place at times. The weekend after we went to London. Toni had a hen's weekend so I went along and stayed with Caddy to catch up. We went to see the Billy Elliot Musical and I managed to met up with Toni for a dance at 3am! I feel so at home in London, I'm so happy when I'm there and I miss it alot. The weather was excellent with 27 degrees! I also replaced my laptop and ipod as everythings cheaper in the UK. We're still waiting to hear about my UK visa.....On the weekend we went to Dundrum to a big shopping centre, then to Howth on Sunday. It's a seaside town with a cool outdoor market with plenty of nice food. My dad and sister should arrive on Monday for a visit and we also have Toni's cousin visiting on the weekend. I have attached a photo of the project I'm working on and some of our recent adventures. I've put more on my website so feel free to have a look when you get a chance. www.goneforapint.co.ukHope to hear what's happening from you all soon. Take care,Megsx
