Yesterday Alex and Jo (his girlfriend) took me to a huge park. This has to be one of the biggest parks I've seen. I'm not actually sure what it was called come to think of it, but it was somewhere near Wimbledon Stadium where the tennis will be on shortly.
Parks here are like beaches anywhere else. People will flood to the local park when the weather is nice. The scene is set with lots of picnics, sunbathers, roller-kite surfers, bike riders and dog walkers. When I say the park was huge, we drove into it for about 10 mins before parking up and walking another 15 min's to a sunny bank where you could see nothing but grass and trees: quite a picturesque place really. I took a lot of photos, but cant find my usb cable, so you'll have to wait to see those until I clean my room.
After we'd had enough of throwing the ball for a friendly dog, we walked back towards the car and came across a series of burrows with rabbits popping their heads up from one hole to the next like something out of a Disney cartoon.
On the way home we stopped and picked up some boereworse and chicken and steaks with a view to have a braai for dinner.
The braai was very successful, with a handful of Alex and Jo' s friends attending, most of who where South African and Zimbabwean. The char-grilled food was very tasty and the conversations reminded me of South Africa.
Nicola is at Gatecrasher at the moment and called me to say Prodigy was awesome, Im glad shes having a good time and hope she doesn't get rained on too much out there.
