A very low key day for me today! I had a little bit of a sleep in....a very slow start to the day. I actually sat and enjoyed my entire coffee before hitting the road. My plan was to get as close to Brisbane as possible so I would have a short drive in the morning to drop off the Jucy Crib.... I ended up at a place called Deception Bay early in the afternoon, finding a place proved to be harder than I thought....patience were wearing a bit thin so I just gave up ...

So the thought of coming all the way to Australia and not seeing or experiencing part of the Great Barrier Reef made no sense to me....I didn't have the time to get all the way up to be able to take a boat tour.....I found a tour that flies out of Hervey Bay to a place called Lady Elliot Island which is the southern part of the reef.....it looked amazing so I splurged and booked it! The day started out great....2 jeeps....5 people in each....nice and comfy! We made our way to the ferry to Fraser Island and pulled up on the ferry. We headed up top to search for turtles and dolphins which we did not see. While on the ferry we learned that one of the jeeps had broken down and they would move two people into our jeep and the other 3 were dispersed into other tour groups. Ok so ....l was a tad bit exhausted last night and I fell asleep at 745pm!!! I woke up at 530! Apparently the heat wiped me out....
