It has been a while since my last adventure and I am excited to dust off the old blog and share my travels again.

My travels took me on a quick 2 hr flight over the Rockies, one of my favorite flights typically due to the amazing views of the mountain tops...however today the weather was not so agreeable.

Boarding the plane in Vancouver was an adventure itself! I was surrounded by Chinese musicians wielding accordions! I thought I may be up for a concert, however I proceeded to be smacked in the head over and over as they frantically tried to find room in the over head compartments for the 15 accordions. After an uneventful flight I arrived into Beijing to the longest immigration line EVER! Nexus is not my friend here! Total time in customs and getting my luggage was 2 hours! I had booked a ride in advance and am sure glad I did! Was insanity getting out of the airport! The ride took almost 2 hours through crazy Friday evening traffic.... there were many near death moments involving bikes and scooters but no one seemed concerned other than me!

I am staying at a hotel called the Tianan Rega Hotel...it is within walking distance of Wangfujing Food Street so I went for a little walk and found some street food for supper...gut of steel do not fail me now!

Exhausted and ready for sleep! Tomorrow will be a busy day!
