Jayanth La Reine, on the property prceis, the central bank statistic will be nationwide. So taking property prceis in the west may give a biased view.On the alternative for financing, I will right a post in the future about that. But these are the options. Depending on the price of the land, you will be able to take a make it happen loan, but due to the terms of the loan, the interest rate and repayment period may not be favorable. If the price of land is considerably high, you will have to take a mortgage. On the financing for building, I am not completely familiar with all our options but I know that you can get a bridge loan which is a loan that you take to build your home, and when it is completed you can turn the debt into a mortgage. The bridge loan is usually for a shorter term. I will some solid options that are available for my next post about buying a home in Trinidad.
re: Tobago, TobagoFatma Tristan, we are fighting a huge uplihl battle here. I'm pointing out work that people are doing to help others express their opinions on this important development. People can do something if they wish with this information, including ignore it. The process varies widely from country to country and is not generally known. If people at least understand that they have a voice and how they can use it, I'm fine. When all the details are made known about what the pro-OOXML folks are doing to secure victory, I suspect you won't find these more grass roots efforts to be too much.
re: Pax Guest House, TrinidadAmulya BobI am usually a fan but this is getnitg really odd, you have crossed the line from having a different opinion to stuffing ballot boxes. I mean, Trindad Tobago? Santa Lucia? Hot beds for any XML file format wars? I've read MSFT open letters to the market and now think they have a point. The ISO process should be free of nefarious behavior on your or any vendors part. The market decides, not vendors. What I don't get is how you are against customers having a choice? if they like ODF on it's merit's they'll use it. If they don't like OXML b/c it's microsoft, fine. But getnitg into rigged juries without giving a proper discourse for the standards discussion puts ALL STANDARDS in the future into peril. You are not helping the market overall, in many ways, you could be subverting the chances of IBM's next great standards effort that could be easily blocked as well based on precedent?Tristan
re: Trinidad, TrinidadGeorge I don't think there is such a site well I'm sure there is one but it's probably a scam. To get good prcies you'll want to try going last minute or just exploring different sites. You might want to try getting on mailing lists for cheap tickets, which certain sites have. Good luck!
re: Port of Spain, TrinidadGunna I've been neglecting my blog duonrs everywhere, and now I've got some catching up to do. I think this is the best 55 I've ever seen. I love the content, the picture, and yes question. Where would I go? I never know where... it is all fabulous. I've been to several countries - Albania, Italy, Ireland, England, Amsterdam, my beloved Iceland, to name a few. But not a whole lot of actual sightseeing here in our own beautiful country. Mostly west coast and western states. I love seeing beautiful countrysides, camping and sleeping out doors, and I would gladly take you along on one such trip. How about Copper Canyon Mexico, where we are still striving to go even after 4 years of planning. Hope you like trains. :)
