Toured Fort Stockton: Annie Riggs Museum, a pottery shop, different neighbourhoods, and saw the landmark Paesano Pete, the world's biggest roadrunner. Roadrunners are typical of the region but I've seen none of them live yet...lizards instead. Maybe it's too hot for them as well as for rabbits. The Belding Farms is one of the biggest pecan orchards in the USA. The pecan trees need lots and lots of water and here it's sometimes scarce. So we spotted a totally dead orchard as well.

Had at a Tex Mex (owned by Mexicans) restaurant and it was a great chance to talk about issues of our mutual interest, mine and Loraine's.

Now back at the house and looking forward to meeting the group of my hosts' friends in the evening.
