Decided to head into town this evening for Nuit Blanche. It's supposed to be an evening where art is brought out on to the streets of downtown for all to enjoy, and the focus is on pedestrians claiming back the streets for the night. We just didn't get it though! Art may not be my thing, but a few flashing lights on buildings was just random! Toronto was packed with people pulling all-nighters for it though. Kept thinking we'd missed something - we did, the vodka...

Surprised Nick made it on the trip after having broken not one, but two of her bags! We had lunch in a little town called Dorset; looking out onto the Bay of Bays. Climbed the Dorset Fire Tower, which used to be a lookout point for forest fires, and enjoyed the widespread views! Then we headed to Ragged Falls where the water gushed down the hillside; cutting through the woods. After that, we made our way to Madawaska, where we enjoyed a home-cooked meal, campfi...

Visited Square One shopping mall out in Missassauga, then decided to catch a Blue Jays game. Not much of an idea as to what was happening, but we had fun, Jays won and we had a hotdog piled up with all the available relsihes and sauces!

Started my new job at Pier 1 Imports. Seems ok. Got to buy new clothes though, as I can only wear boring neutrals! You leave the place smelling like cinnamon! Candles are everywhere! Visited Captain Jack's bar - oh my! We met a healer, the local hippy/dealer, baker and a candlestick maker! Only kidding. The former two we met though! Also came across a guy who used to live in Wilmslow. A bizarre night, but couldn't stop laughing!

Heard an awful noise this evening; a really vicious hissing and growling, and a whimpering noise in the background. Assume it was a raccoon. There was blood outside the next day! Eek!
