Almost a picture perfect day , got up early to go for our 40min run couldn't get out of our hotel all the doors were locked........wasn't till later discovered what the two keys they gave us were for......one for the room other for main front door , doh , climbed back into bed for extra hour sleep. After asking in one of the many outdoor shops realised lots of walking tracks just across the road , so off we set with lunch to explore . Wow , had a warm sun on our backs and lovely flowing falls to amber along side with the canopy of some enormous trees . We even come across some petrified tree stumps and logs . Did a loop back into the village , when we got back headed off in our hire car to a cafe called the Ugly House for some well earned homemade scones......rating 10/10 homemade jam , real cream lovely outer crunch with soft centre....yum yum yum. Along side the cafe is a narrow driving track that takes you up to a lake , well let's go......all good for about 1/2k and i have to say it's a track that has two way traffic so there are small pull off bays for the downward coming driver , well we struck a driver who would not pullover so i thought I'll reverse into bay , he passed i go to take off and have no traction and my back wheel is off the ground ....cricky (s***) my lovely co-pilot Zena does her best to stack rocks under the wheel to stop us rolling down the side of the hill , the gods were with us and a young fellow in a four wheel drive came down the track so we flagged him down and he was our hero , he towed us on to flat terrafirma.....what an end to the day and we haven't told the men on the trip so shhh. :-) straight home after that just to be safe . Well tomorrow's another adventure .
