Arrived in Byron Bay to rain, rain and more rain at 6am with no sleep....Great! So i curled up on the bus stop beach, hood up, backpack as a pillow and slept for a hour. When i woke up, it was me and Matt in a bus stop with local Aboriginals. I couldn've been happier when Liv & Dyl rocked up in the purple & green Juicy Camper!! So we found a campsite, got showered made some sausage sandwhichs on the barbie and played some Rummikubs in the van, waiting for the rain to stop.... it didnt! so we got soaked making spag bol for tea (top marks to dyl) and headed out for a night in Byron Bay! We hit Cheeky Monkeys the best way to compare it would be to walkabout- similar music, very sweaty but we got soaked in the queue and were all knackered so we were in bed by 1. well we slept in the penthouse... dont get to excited it looks a bit like a roof rack which open on one side to make a tent so me n matt top & tailed in there, very comfy!!
Our second day at Byron Bay was dry!! Yaaay! So we made our way to the Byron Bay lighthouse, parked the Juicy and walked a 2.5k mountain for some gorgeous veiws of byron bay, we also got to the most eastern point in mainland Australia. We were all so sweaty and hot so we went straight to the beach. The sea was mental, so storng and the undercurrent swept us up the beahc without us realising, lol!! Me and Liv just played in the waves while the lads played with this ball which bounces across the sea! Think matt loved having the male company! That night we treated ourselves to a meal out at Hogs Breath which was lush... ribs and steak proper food!!! We spent our last night playing rummikubs into the small hours.... Loved staying with Liv & Dyl and Byron Bay was gorgeous when the sun was shining!!
