Well after the delights of sitting on a yacht sunbathing and lying on gorgeous islands having the cooking and cleaning done for us, it was time to get back in the van and hit the road. The distances between sights to see is getting longer now but we had to stop in Eungella National Park a tip from our very own personal Aussie tour guide Gabe.
This visit give us a chance to do some more platypus spotting, and relax by campfires at nite with bake potatoes goon and Marshmellows at night in a completely deserted field. We where lucky to enjoy this however as in true miles and jones style we ignored the petrol station as we were only 11k from our destination not the fact that the road there was a 14% gradient (very steep) and the van was running on the sniff of a oil rag once we got up there. The next couple of days were spent relaxing in the amazing country surroundings looking at views like this before getting in the van rolling back down the hill and on our way of a grueller six houre drive to Rockahampton there really was nothing on the way making it a very tiring journey.
While the days in Eungella were lovley the next couple of days on the road were really dull we spent one in a beachside town called Yepoon and another in Rockhampton (steak capital of Oz) getting our pants pulled down in the worlds most expensive campsite, and that was about it really.
Loads of Love
