Well I survived my night in the ghetto...just...woke up this morning to more bites. Our old guide Lucy recommended Tiger Balm to calm and avoid bites. I bought a pot yesterday so dosed myself in it this morning to stop me itching. I seriously look like i've got some skin disorder. We met everyone else at the airport at 2ish...really sad to see the others missing but new Brit girl is lovely so thats cool.
We had an hour and half flight further south, on which we were given a tray of random packets of food...a pumpkin biscuit that tasted like tea, a muffin cake tha tasted of meat and some plain crackers (yum) and lychees. I tried in vain to write in my paper journal as am way behind but resorted to bullet point formatting...pah its only for the sake of memory and mines so vivid anyway. When we arrived we got on our private bus and drove 3hours to the city of Kaili, its prounced Kylie and I have to keep stopping myself from shouting 'Minogue' every time leader Pete says it ha ha :)
The city is pretty sameo, hotel is nice and clean and is our last nice bed for a while. We have the same driver for the next 3 days and he'll be transporting our bags in the day to each accomodation while we trek around. Our accomodations are very simple...back to squat loo's and also a night when we all stay in the same room...oooerrr I heard one of the boys snore!!
Won't be in contact for a while and sorry for the lame photos...i have loads to download but having probs with the site and chinese computers (plus im not a wizz on the olde computers). Hope everyone is well...keep me all in the loop of your news. Congrats to the new mums....you know who you are x
