All alone in the big wide world
Last day in the beautiful Manali today so went to have some Reiki done....spent an hour in an uncomfortable position to be told that I was missing a relationship!!! If she had seen the girl I was staying with in Manali she would have understood why I wasn't at this present moment in time wanting to commit to any kind of relationship!!! So that was a waste of a morning so headed off for some lunch at my usual Yangkhor café and funnily enough had my usual spinach momos with vegetable Thalis. Asked Crystal if she wanted to share some momos as I wasn't that hungry. She did her usual and said no....then when they came totally stared them out, asked how they were until I offered her one in which she would reply "are you sure" then take half the fricking plate!!
I had run out of money so tried every atm around to find out that my bank being so brilliant had cancelled my card for me which was nice! Had to change some US so at least I had some money, at 15.30 we went for the bus but the station was 4km away so a TUK TUK was in order! There was none in the vicinity so we had to walk 0.5km, don't think Crystal had ever walked before as she moaned all the bloody way. Advice everyone never travel with a girl with a strippers name who is from Trinidad...Bad news!
Anyways got the bus oh and lucky me got to share a bed with her and even better it measured 1x2x0.7m. It was quite funky smelling but 'm sure it was her as she hadn't showered!
Manage to fall asleep until 22.00 when we did a toilet and food stop, the food at the place didn't look too good so I opted for the safe option and had a sealed bag of out of date crisps! Back on the bus I was straight back to sleep until 04.30 when she woke me wanting to be out when we stopped at the petrol station....Why ask for the stupid window seat if you want to be out every 5mins??? Im ratty when woken but she just agitates me something chronic! So I got in the window side and slept fine until 08.00 when we arrived in Delhi...........
Fortunately for us we were dropped in the middle of nowhere but were soon surrounded by taxis and TUK TUKS wanting to take us many places for the knocked down price of....WAY TOO MUCH!!!
Managed to sort out a rate although not good with some fat dude! Actually there were two of them.....brothers in fact oh and a gas bottle!
Off we went, first we stopped on the side of a busy road so brother #1 could go sell his bottle for about 5p was it worth it really??? Next stop the train station area so brother #2 could be dropped off at his TUK TUK and the 18th (stops 3-17 were spent asking for directions...thick as pudding he was!!!) and final stop was our hotel right in the middle of the busy bazaar basically Leeds market times by a billion!!!
Checked in the Star Paradise which was anything but! It was comfortable, clean and had star movies so it would do for the night! Went for breakfast and on the way tried 10 atms lost my card once to a hole in the wall and still could I hell get any money out! However we did bump into a couple of friends from Melbourne (Sharon and Damien) and as Crystal was the best company in the world.....NOT! I asked them if they would please please join us for breakfast.
Being nice people they did so off we went to the one and only Piccadelhi. Great news it wasn't open for another 30mins so I went to Thomas Cook to get some money. At 11.00 I had the best breakfast ever which was Garlic chicken with rice.
After Breakfast we decided we would say farewell over a beer even though I was meeting them again in Thailand then in Melbourne but think they just liked a beer. Off we went to a blues bar to start the session off! After a couple of drinks Crystal was almost drunk and so began to whine and even managed to swear at the staff which was quite embarrassing. As she had upset the staff and also it was bit quiet in there we headed down to DV8 for the next installment. Here I found the black stuff at nearly 5quid a pint I thought it would be worth it, as drinking all this Indian crap had totally messed by stomach up. Much to my disappointment it was in a can so it didn't taste that nice anyway...so it totally wasn't worth the wait. Next were the expensive cocktails which were very nice and so morish! By this point Crystal had run out of things to whine about and decided she was ill (we call it p*SS*d) and decided to leave...she looked at me all the time saying she was leaving, no way was I going with her this was my one shot at freedom! Off she went and there we stayed for a while longer until we got the munchies and headed for a Pizza-Hut! As this was the last of the big eating due to getting quite fat I opted for the healthy option and got a family pizza with the view of having it for breakfast. A great idea that was I ate the lot and had a starter. After tea we went back to the Drunken Duck for a last drink...or few then headed home in a TUK TUK. When I got back she was still awake and gave me the girlfriend look of "What time do you call this??" I don't think so sweetheart dropped my things off and went to the internet café!
Last day in Delhi was spent alone in Piccadelhi having a meal all by myself... (oooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!) Well actually I watched Glitter with Mariah Carey first off but that's something I'd rather not too many people know about! I got a cycle rickshaw around town just to try them but the poor guy had been given some chicken legs in a freak transplant I think he was so skinny so I tipped him 5p which made his day!
Got the train at 16.05 and only had a bed, so had my train meal which was rather...crap! Then went to sleep cuddling my bag and no not because I'm missing a bloody relationship but so that no-one could nick it!
