Here at last! After long ride here, (including close call transfers, near missed stops and chance encounters) and a good night's sleep in my hotel, I woke up to crazy ass Bangkok. The city that never sleeps and, so far, never stops smiling. The food is delicious (I'll get to that in a minute) and the locals are unfailingly friendly. Arrival in Oman after a long flight. 16 degrees Celsius at 8:30am is beautiful! Muscat airport is situated Almost in a valley, with mountains either side, the sea just behind you and haze absolutely everywhere! Short stop here and then further onto Bangkok. It's good to meet people out here. No pretension, hostility or guardedness. Further updates upon my arrival but after my session in the jacuzzi.
