We are officially coming to the end of our trip across America, the second and longest leg of our adventure. We arrived here on the 18th January and now, about 10 weeks later, are preparing to leave.
Over the last 10 weeks we have travelled across 10 states (in order Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, California, Nevada and Arizona) and stayed in 16 different places. We have rode on 13 Greyhounds which amounts to 78 hours or 3.25 days, flown in both an aeroplane and a helicopter, gone on cable cars and taken various trains, trams and buses.
The experience has been amazing and the highlights too many to mention but we can't stop ourselves from dropping in a few so here goes: swimming with manatees, seeing sea lions, whales and dolphins in the wild doing their things, the helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, the blues on Beale Street, real life cowboys and longhorns in Texas, fan boats and alligators in the Everglades and the amazing beaches of Florida and Miami.
Again, thanks to everyone for all your comments. It's really good to hear from you all. Please keep them coming.
