Hi everyone - Happy Anzac Day!
Today is Anzac Day (Austalian and New Zealand Army Corps) - the equivalent od Remembrance Day. They even have poppys. There is a procession going on outside the internet cafe at the moment, it has been going for at least an hour and doesn't look like it's nearing an end just yet. There are even people with bag pipes outside. It is really, really important here, absolutely everything is closed today out of respect the banks, shops, supermarkets, theme parks, zoos... probably the beach too lol!
We sold our car and camping gear today. So now we don't have our stove to cook our food on, our light to see (it gets dark at 6pm), our chairs to sit in and our tv to watch The Biggest Loser Grand Final! But at least we won't starve to death in Bali
We went to Australia Zoo a few weeks ago. The home of the Crocodile Hunter. It was so good, we went to a few shows and we saw some huge birds flying right above us, and crocs jumping out the water. The animals are so well looked after there, you can see what a difference it makes to the animals. The koalas wern't even in an enclosure. There were 3 or 4 groups of trees throughout the park and the koalas were just snuggling up in them. We saw Bindi Irwin a few times singing Karaoke with visiting children. She is so small, you forget how young she is. Shouldn't really - she's on tv every day with the Wiggles (I am an elephant from India).
Anyway, the strip club doesn't feel the need to close all day  so Amy had better get to work.
Love to you all, it won't be long before we see you,
Amy and Mike x
