Hi to everyone from sunny Australia,
Firstly, ignore the fact that the postcard says Mandurah is in ACT. I know that its not, but it's the only choice I get in the Country List. (Do they not know that ACT is not the name of the country?!)
Ok, so forgot a few things from the last postcard...
Bird Park in KL: was absolutely huge! we really enjoyed it here until the peacocks started blocking our way and then started attacking us! it was so funny (I've never seen Mike run so fast!)
Cosmo's World (KL): we went to an indoor theme park - it was actually on the top floor of a shopping centre! It was such an odd feeling to be on a rollercoaster inside a building!
We went to Singapore Zoo (this really is amazing. Definatly worth coming to Singapore for!) We didn't make it to the night safari - which is at the Zoo - but if it's anything like the daytime I'm sure it will be excellent. There are all different sections for different parts of the world amd Steve Irwin helped design the Australian part. The fences were low enough to allow the kangaroos to jump over them and, as we passed, one jumped right onto the path infront of us!
So now we are in Australia, and we want to say a big thank you to Christine and Derek for allowing us to stay with them! We are really grateful :) We went into Fremantle on Thursday (it took us so long to get through customs on Wednesday that there was no time to do anything that day). We visited the Maritime Museum and went on a submarine. The next day we went out for dinner at the Yacht Club for Mike's birthday (thank you Chris and Derek).
Saturday (Mike's birthday) we got up at 5am and went to Rockingham to go swimming with wild dolphins! It took us a while to find any but eventually we ended up with 6 dolphins playing with us for a few hours! It really was incredible! We then went bowling on the way back to the bus station, as Mike was having Ten Pin withdrawal symptoms! (lack of energy, memory loss, sleeping all the time... no wait, he's like that all the time!) We finally found our way back to Mandurah and went out to the pub for dinner. No seats inside so we had to sit outside - and its not as warm here as in Asia!
We are having our first Ozzy barbie tonight so that should be good :)
love Mike and Amy x
