Good Friday.....and it was good! Hot cross buns (well, cold cross buns) at breakfast. We came here two years ago and this time we all did our own thing. Rob and Linda hit the beach, Phil and Yvonne strolled off for wifi and a supermarket and Barbara and I went looking for an Internet cafe with real computers rather than just wifi. We researched New England cruises with various companies and it looks like a Celebrity cruise next year, rather than a P&O one.
We then strolled about Cabo with a stop for lunch and a Pacifico beer. Then we wandered back to the tender station with the intention of having a margarita on the way. We stopped at Señor Frogs (where else is there in a Mexican resort?) where the bin liners, photographers and some Ents staff were drinking and making a racket. We were looking for a table and saw Edward and Allen, two of the bar staff we have become friendly with, sitting drinking a bucket of beer. They invited us to join them and gave us a beer each. We reciprocated with three frozen margaritas! We had a great time.
One disappointment this year, was that I saw no sea-lions. Last time they were hitching lifts on the back of boats. Other people did see them though. I went to the Terrace Deck for the sailaway. Barbara came and joined me and we had a strawberry margarita, it wasn't as good as those on shore. We saw lots of whale spouts and the odd back but no breaches or flukes.
It was a pub quiz tonight, and we only dropped one point, which means bottle 41 is now in the cellar!
Had a few minutes on the back deck before an early bed. Oh, and 'Horizon' the ship's daily magazine is back in colour.
