Well it's the final day of the cruise. I've had a great time and it's flown by but at the same time it's taken forever. All my bags were packed by 10:00 and then I went to the two quizzes. I scored 12/20 in the Individual Quiz and the winner scored 13, it was about St. George. Shirley, one of my fellow quizzers, asked me how many stickers I needed for the radio. I said 18, but I was two short, so I'd have to pick something else. At the end of the quiz, she gave me two stickers! That meant I managed to get a P&O DAB radio.
In the Battle of the Sexes, the men started the day with a slender lead of 5 points. Thanks to a steal in the first round and answering both bonus questions, THE MEN WON! I'm so glad that when I was captain, we won. Over the whole cruise the scores were Men - 2, Women - 1 and draw - 2. The captain of the other winning team was Phil.
We had a final glass of champagne in Phil and Yvonne's cabin before dinner and then we went to Champions for a St. George's Day celebration, which wasn't much good.
The whole day has felt like a bit of anti-climax, a bit like a late night flight at the end of a good holiday. This will be my last blog from on board, but I'll blog a couple of more times from home, including my conclusions.
I'm not looking forward to disembarkation tomorrow, but it will be good to see my family and friends again.
I've had a great cruise, met some great people and I'm thinking about South America in 2015. Watch this space!!!
