Hi,
We arrived in Fiji on Friday 14th in the evening and were glad that we had pre booked accommodation as even the trusted information desk tried to send us to his friends hotel. When we finally found our transfer we headed towards Nadi new town beach and stayed at Beach escape villas.
The next day we got the local bus into Nadi town centre to try and organise where we were going to stay in Fiji as Nadi itself is not anything special. We decided to stay on the Coral Coast which is on the south of the main island as the boats to the island were expensive and we had less than a week left. We planned to take a public bus the next day and booked into Mango Bay resort which called itself a flashpacker resort.
It took around two hours to reach the resort and when we got there it was just what we pictured Fiji to look like...gorgeous. We had booked into a double room with shared facilities, but when we arrived we had been upgraded into a safari tent with an en-suite bathroom...Result!
The rest of the day wasnt so good as there was a tropical storm, however, the next day was bright sunshine and very very hot. We made sure we got up early to enjoy the weather and had breakfast at 7 and then again at 10 before they packed up the complimentary breakfast. We did this everyday and everyone thought we were really tight (because we were!)
The rest of the holiday was spent sunbathing, playing volleyball with Australian schoolies, Kayaking and making coconut jewellery.
Just a short but sweet blog and all in all WE ARE BROWN! We are lovely and tanned, keep those messages coming about it snowing at home, although we arent looking forward to coming home to it.
Miss you all xxx
