Barcelona
Barcelona, Spain
So I have arrived in old Espanol and it´s a good job I´m so laid back and don´t care about most things because they haven´t been too dandy so far. The flight and everything was fine, managed to catch the bus into the centre of Barcelona no bother and found my hostel quite quickly. So even though I was shattered and sweating like a beast, I was still smiling . . .after all I´m in sunny Spain! I´ll try and not be too negative because no one wants to read me moaning, but there was a bedbug situation and then a no bed situation but I was just like "c´moan tae . . ." and then they sorted it for me. The hostel i´m in now is alright I suppose, it´s central and has pretty much everything you need so i´ll give it the benefit of the doubt. There was a man in my room whose snoring sounded like a tortured animal so i decided to get up mega early before i either shoved a sharp pencil in my ears or held a pillow over his face.
So I set off in search of some food, which was a task ´cause apparently the spanish are really lazy and nowhere opens before 9am. When I did finally find a place open, I somehow managed to order some sort of brie and fish croissant . . . I didn´t want to hurt the wee woman´s feelings so I just wrapped it in a napkin, stuffed it in my pocket and gave her a smile on my way out that said "Mmm that was delicious!". Then, as if fish/cheese for breakfast wasn´t enough, I was sauntering down Avinguda Diagonal, trying to be as non-tourist as possible, when I slip on a wet patch on the road, go flying and fall right on my arse . . . . well at least I gave all the people on the city tour bus going by a good laugh eh!
Anyway apart from a few daft things like that, I´m really glad i´m here - the sun´s shinning, all the buildings are lovely and there´s plenty for me to get up to. Oh and i´m looking forward to my siesta later on woo!
I´ll try and keep this updated as much as I can, but sometimes I might just be having too much fun so you´ll just have to be patient!
