The second reason we came to France ( apart from wine ), was to see the Bayeux tapestry, with the history of the battle of Hastings in 1066.
We checked into 'Chateau de Sully', then Mb wanted a swim so we drove to Omaha beach which is the site of the American troop landings in June 1944, 'D-Day'.
We had a much needed massage by a lovely French girl which MB was pretty happy about and JB too because she was great.
Wednesday we spent the morning at the Bayeux tapestry and immersed ourselves in the history of 1066, and William the conquerer seen in the photo with JB.We also enjoyed the old city of Bayeux which is a very attractive place.
Thursday it's aurevoir to France and off to England on the Ferry. It's five hours and the sea is very calm, a good crossing of the English channel.
