Hoy fue pacífica. (Today was peaceful. I had difficulty with that. Not sure if it is grammatically correct.) I got home from church around midnight. Met new people. People my age ^_^ it was so cool lol. A group of girls took me into their group after service. We went to a youth meeting with other members. They caught the same bus home as me, so I didn't have to wait alone :) They were really nice. They practiced their English & then waited patiently as I attempted to construct coherent sentences. They understood me and it was great.
I am working on eradicating my fear of speaking "wrong." I've learned that language is for communication. As obvious as that may be to many, I'd forgotten. The whole point of language is to communicate with others. If you are understood when you speak, you're fine. I keep wanting to be grammatically correct when I speak. While I consider semantics & grammar important, I rarely speak English "correctly," so it makes no sense for me to get worked up about speaking a new language with proper grammar. I'm learning to just talk and be corrected when need be. Few native speakers I've encountered actually articulate or formulate "proper" sentences. Not many people in my generation talk like that if they aren't required to do so.
Ah, I feel great. Sleepy though.
Night, guys. Y besos (:
