Hello readers!

Almost a week till I leave now, and suddenly realising how much I still have to do. Between Christmas, New Years and my part time job, I have very little time to pack and get all my stuff together.

Next Friday, I am leaving Sydney to Vietnam with my boyfriend, Sam. We are backpacking around Vietnam for about 4 weeks. Even though I have done quite a bit of travelling, in the past I have been with my parents or on a program so I am excited to finally get a taste of independent travelling and the backpacking culture. Tomorrow I will head to vodafone and Kathmandu on my lunch break and attempt to get myself prepared.

In Vietnam, we plan to start in Hanoi, explore Sapa a bit, the work out way down to the South, stopping at some beaches and soaking up some sun on the way, then finishing up in Ho Chi Minh City. But nothing's planned and were playing it by ear.

Would love to hear tips about Vietnam re: places to visit, packing tips...
