Well this is it! It's cruise day! We had a lovely surprise this morning when we were able to Skype with Charlotte and Jenna. Technology is a wonderful thing! At about 2.30pm we are checked into our cruise and board the Eurodam, our home for the next 20 nights and a very comfortable home it is going to be. It's our last full day in Copenhagen before the cruise. We have a list of things we want to see and do, but first it's a trip to the laundry to drop off some washing which we will pickup at 5.30. The Rundetaarn (Round Tower) was built by Christian 1V between 1637 and 1642. To get to the top of the tower we walk via the spiral walk which is 209 metres long and spirals 7 1/2 times around its hollow core. I'd much rather walk up this spiral walk than steps! Apparent...

This morning we take a bus to the Carlsberg Brewery. The driver and 2 of the 4 passengers on board were most helpful in ensuring that we got off at the right stop. The brewery was a self guided tour and a great way to spend the morning. There were formally 200 Jutland horses at the brewery but that number is now just 6. Today is a self guided walking tour, and with Glenn in charge of the map, we could end up anywhere! When walking you see and observe so much more than by bus or boat. The only thing missing is the commentary. It's Sunday but its just as busy as Saturday. It's hard to tell who are the tourists and who are the locals. Arriving in Copenhagen early on Saturday morning gave us a false sense of how busy this city is. Our hotel is located on the Town Hall Square opposite the famous Tivoli Gardens and right next to the Stroget which is the busy shopping area of the city, but being 7am on Saturday morning, it was so quiet.
