We left Fort Smith @ 12:30 A.M. after picking Brian up, headed to Conway to meet Richard (Steph's BF) @ IHOP for a good breakfst before leaving for Little Rock Airport.
We made it to airport.
To the security, Y do I have to b the guinea pig?
I took my massage star, which apparently they thought could b used as a weapon. I did get yo keep it, after Supervisor approval of course.
Now off to Atlanta, then go NY, then Maine.
Our last flight was detoured due to the fact of airport closure. The plane that arrived late was debarking in our destination, therefore we had to go down 2 flights of stairs yo ride a shuttle to our plane, which we had to go up more stairs, ohhhh yea, it was raining too.
We were not assigned seats until we were ready to depart. Brian and I got row 3, me window, Stephanie row 4 window seat. It was our Stewardess's first flight.
We arrive in Maine. Walk torward rental cars.
I had failed to get an email confirmation number for the rental......weekend, summer time, bad economy= disaster.
We were charged by Avis, but the Avis man said we had no reservation, he also helped with Budget, I went to Budget, just next booth, stood in line, he told me before I waited for my turn I was not in their system ( Avis/Budget r partners unbeknownst by me). So I proceeded to ask for a supervisor, I was informed She worked all day, call monday. She does not know who she is talking to apparently. I wanted someone in charge, She responded, "Do you call your supervisor after hours" ? Good point but fact remains of competent help after hours too. Since we were charged Ihad a legite complaint.
No help so I proceeded to another partnered booth, no cars, next partnered booth one economy size for 970, right I had mine reserved, paid for at a price of 268, don't think so.
Brian called his parents, while he was talking, I patiently waiting, The young Lady that could not helpme earlier, ohhh yea I did tell her come monday when I call supervisor and there was a reservation, our vacation would had been 100% paid for by Budget. Back to Allison noticing a car that has not been picked up and realized it was ours......ohhh how stupid they should be feeling by now, bc everyone knew our situation, I mean I went from each group of carriers, no reservation, but yet here it is. Thankfully Brian's dad had not left yet.
I am tired, hurting, had to use extra energy for the rental, our journey was not over, our route was badly torn up road speed limit majority was 30 mph, at only 37 miles, it felt like 1,000 miles to my exhausted, wore out body.
We were greeted by anxious parents to see their son and daughter in law and granddaughter.
It was Stephanies first to fly.
I was so tired, and exhausted that after waking up at 9/8 Central and ate breakfast I laid down and took a 4 hr nap, greatly appreciated.
