The Backpacker's Guide to the Galaxy
Rain, rain and...more rain. We are not greatly in appreciation of the rain's continual tirade of abuse against us on this island, although it is still perfectly possible to see what a thoroughly beautiful place it is.
We are staying right on the beach at Nelly Bay in a little hut. We have suddenly caught up with loads of people from various points along our coastal journey so far, which had made for a couple of good nights at the bar here. Returned late one night to find a welcoming committee of two outrageously green frogs sitting outside the door looking beady.
Being on Magnetic Island feels a bit like being in Jurrassic Park; lots of craggy, tree smothered peaks and wild weather. Not many dinosuars, though. Just frogs.
