We arrived at Ningaloo Station Homestead about 3pm after going into Exmouth for a few things. We stopped at a road side stop on the corner of NW Coastal Highway and Burkett Rd last night...so many flies!!!
We arrived at Ningaloo Station Homestead about 2pm, paid our rent for the month $280 plus a $100 deposit for the key and after another 15 or so klms of bumpy road we arrived at our camp site at 3pm. Graeme, Lisa, Mitchell & Jessi arrived at 4pm.
The first three days were beautiful and we had at least two swims each day, each one lasting a couple of hours. By Saturday the weather was getting a bit windy and the flies were really bad. We bought fly nets when we were in Exmouth and even Jessi was pleased to have hers on.
I celebrated my 70th birthday on Saturday 11 April.
We did a bit of fishing and played cards. Graeme & Lisa went into Exmouth on Friday 17 April to pick up Michelle.
They went back to Newman a day early on 25 April as the flies were so bad.
We stayed for another week and a half and didn't leave until Tuesday May 5. Met a lovely couple who were camped next to us and live in Karratha - Aaron "Reidy" Reid and Sally Kain and there two children, Mac and Tully, and their brown dog Axel.
