This was our first day riding down the Pacific coast on 101. The weather was perfect from start to finish. The views of the Pacific were beautiful. We stopped at Cannon beach and saw Haystack rock. Several large hills made the day a challenge with speeding traffic whizzing by. One tunnel was especially tight but a tractor trailer blocked traffic for us letting us pass through the tunnel without incident. The Nehalem Bay State Park campground backs directly to the beach. We can hear the waves crashing from our tent.
