Today was a free day in Paris, so a group of us started by going to the Eiffel Tower, we decided to walk to the second level, and then catch the elevator to the top there. It was a very very long clime!! The view was incredible, we spent quite a while just chilling, taking photos. The line was really long for the tickets for the elevator so we decided to move on. It was a windy day, and as I'm walking past an info flag, it's flicked around and whipped me!! Therefore whipped at the Eiffel Tower!
We split up then, all wanting to go different places, I decided to go along with the guys who were going to Notre-Dame; Adam, Brent & Bundy. We jumped in a taxi (our legs were too sore to walk!!) the guys sat and relaxed while I wandered around, and lit a candle for Nana. When we met up, they had decided to walk up the tower, so it was my turn to sit and relax. The line to get up was super long, so we just sat in the sun outside the Notre-Dame watching this guy and his crazy exercising! He was dancing around and sort of doing boxing moves, completely oblivious to all the people watching, and a few copying! After that we decided to wander back to our meeting spot along the River Seine.
We had our dinner and cabaret in Montmartre and got to see Sacré-Cœur on the way. Really loved Montmartre, it is so beautiful. Dinner was good; I had escargot, duck & chocolate cake with vanilla sauce. The cabaret was interesting, the music and dance were really good, and the side shows in-between were quite funny, but the leading lady was actually a man, which we weren't expecting!! Overall though a fabulous day and great day!
