After a stressful day, and the usual rush to the airport, said farewell to our trusty chauffeur MG, then Peter strolled in (or seemed to) just after we got to the counter. Checked our bags in, said goodbye to Barbara, Tracey, Cayden, Dominic and off we went.
The flight to Joburg was fine, and we were able to catch our great at ORT, before climbing aboard the Delta flight. Doors were closed, we taxied off, then returned to the terminal as a passenger was sick. 1 1/2 hours later, were were on our way again.
Flight was ok, although none of us really slept. Atlanta was a breeze for a change, no sign of our friend Mr White. Thanks, God!
We were met at LA International by Ann & EJ, to continue the tradition of meeting up with them all around the globe. What a coincidence they were in LA to take a cruise 2 days later! They helped enormously by driving us to the depot to collect the RV, a 29' monster, with a slide-out where the living room is. We had dinner with Ann and EJ at the Long Beach Outback (Bloomin' Onion and steaks, a favourite)
Next day, the adventure started...
