An update to let everyone know I have now moved not only country but continent! After a very very long day - or 2 ! I made it to my hostel in Darwin!
I got up at 6.30am yesterday morning to pack my bag - yes mum I know I should have done it the night before... but I went out!!!!! Anyway I packed my back pack - just and then nipped in to town to try and get my camera fixed - I did not suceed therefore I had to purchase a new one! (it is repairable just not in such a short space of time) Hopefully this means I should be able to upload some piccys tomorrow though - I have hundreds!! (Mother - The camera will be back in the UK with some other crap I sent home with my mate Sarah - She will either drive it over or post it - Oh she is also bringing back all my DVDs and picture CDS of my sky dive and gorge swing etc!!)
Anyway today has been crap, I left my hostel at 11.00am (and felt horrible as I was leaving my friends who I was having an awesome time with) anyway this was on the 14/12/06 and arrived at my new hostel in Darwin at 9.15pm 15/12/06 - with zero sleep!!!! I know there is a time difference but that is still a crap two days!!! Some fun stuff did happen to me on the flight though!
Fred exploded in my foot!!! I thought he was dead - I was wrong - well he is now!! My foot was super itchy on the plane so I went to have an investigate and to my horror there was a bubble on the bottom of my foot that looked like a tiny blister but was really hard! I was convinced Fred had decided it was time to come out!! I do not think he wanted to leave Africa...... After several visits to the toilet to check on it eventually I popped it and out seeped some liquid!! My conclusion is that Fred exploded with the cabin pressure and the liquid was poor little sand worm Fred!!!! What a way to go!!!
I also managed to surround myself with the most annoying people on the planet, next to me was an 18 year old guy who was moving from Africa to live with his Mum in Oz - he was obviously upset about leaving Africa - so upset he spent the whole trip chundering all over himself, his sister and his seat!! Gross!! The other side was some big woman who thought it was acceptable to have her handbag pretty much on my lap for the whole trip and snore in my ear, and behind me was an annoying Aussie guy - who was either high, drunk or had serious mental issues - he did not shut up for 9 whole hours!!! TOSSER
Anyway suprisingly I managed to make all my flights Cape Town - Jo'Berg 2 hours, Jo'Berg - Perth 9 hours, Perth - Alice Springs 2.45 hours, Alice Springs - Darwin 3 hours!! And I even managed to make it to my hostel all by myself!!!
Now I am going to bed to catch up on however many hours, days or weeks I have just lost!
I miss Africa already and would have been happy to stay on for a lot longer plus Australia is to damn hot - but hopefully I will be okay.
Missing everyone lots today, specially as I had so much time to myself!
