Arrived in Siem Reap and did our normal routine and tried to find people who look like they speak english and ask what their hotel is like and do they have rooms!!!!
Found 2 nice girls who were from switzerland, who told us that their hotel was nice, clean and only $14 a night, suited us down to the ground really and it is only a 3 min walk around the corner to bar street :-)...happy days.. once we were checked in a sorted we went for a look around to get a feel for the place, always abit werid turning up in a new city at nice, takes a little time to settle in..
Headed straight to a place to get some food, still seem to be sticking to the normal chicken meals, havent really tried to much Thai or Vietham etc food yet, loads of food stalls in the streets and markets so should really....Didnt really do to much that night, just chilled and had some more cosmo's.
The next morning after a lie in we headed out to try and get our feet eaten by fish, you basically out your feet into a big tank of fish and they eat all your dead skin off for you, sounds vile but get for your feet, in England you would probably pay anything from 15 quid upto 25 quid, here for 1 hour we paid $1, thats like 75p, we were sat having it done opposite a resturant, i think it might of been abit off putting fo them when i put my feet in first and started to scream a little, also abit off putting for Claire who by this point had not yet put her feet in, after aboout 10 - 15 mins tho you kind of get use to it and becomes quite nice, didnt work all their magic tho so as it was soo cheap we are going to go back and get it down again before we leave on Monday to the Thai Islands... Happy Days hey...
Apart from that the only main tourist thing were are doing here is going to see the temples at angkok wat, i think they are the biggest temples in either the country or the world, not to sure which :-). We have booked for a tuk tuk to pick us up at 5am so we can see the sunrise there, it was recomenned to us by the bloke and his girlfriend we meant in Phomn Penh. Once there i think you have about 5 temples to view, alomg day as not back until 6pm ish, but its going to be sooo worth it even just for thr 1 hour tuk tuk ride.
Loving Cambodia at the moment, we are only doing the 2 stops here so trying to sort out some travel back to Bangkok and then maybe a flight onto Ko Samui, cant believe we have been away nearly 3 weeks already, time is going sooooo fast.
Will update on the temples next time, probably once we are back in Thailand.
Next stop the Islands.................YEAAAAAHHHHHH
