We had a lovely Golden Wedding today, a friend who was witness at our wedding brought a bouquet to us, haven't seen her for 50 years.
Mel, thanks for text will try phone you Xmas day. Ian nice to speak to today, Mark hope you ok.
Crazy people that we are, tomorrow we embark on long journey to Scotland ( the lengths some people go to in order to avoid buying a Christmas tree) with this foggy weather and the expected traffic, it will take 12 hours minimum, but who cares.
This is actually to wish you all a Happy Christmas, and us old folk will be thinking about you ( with envy )
Bye for now Me and Mum

You will never believe what happened this morning.......... The sun came out!! Well ok, you couldnt see it cos it was too foggy. But I can assure you it was there. And the fog stopped it from melting the icy frosty ground, or giving out any heat, so it stayed at minus two for quite a while. But it was there...Honest. Infact its still here now, and its gone 2 in the afternoon. No...not the sun silly, the fog. According to the weather man, we wont be having a white christmas, and there will actually be sunny spells on christmas day. And if you believe that, you would be wishing you had come home for christmas!!!!
But anyway, glad you all got where you were going, eventually. I hope the sun shines for you all on christmas day. And dont forget to have a drink for us...just the one mind....some of us still have to drive you know. Have lots of fun, as we know you will.
Lots of love Anne, Dale & Kirsty xxXXxxXXxx
Ian
Well what a journey from Bangkok to Koh Tao. It took 36hrs altogether. 12hrs on the coach then nearly 8hrs in a boat on what I can only describe as horrendous seas. So much so that we had to turn back and put up on another island as they were scared the boat would turn over and so were we! We caught the catamran for the last part which was just as bad, I guess up to 5 meter waves, it was scary and everyone was being sick. Anyway we are on the island now and its a little overcast but fantastic, now going to hire a scooter out and take mel round the island mark coming to as is nick and Theresa. Might start diving tomorrow and have a massage later to sort my aching bones out. Trying to get sleep patters to somewhere near normal LOL but Mark keep me up drinking !! I hope all is well in Norwich such as s*** weather etc but you are keeping well. Hope Corrina is ok and Prince, spoke to Judy last night so know she is fine. Anne will txt you soon only fone has been flat and no charger but just got one. Christine I will be taking up your offer of a pick up if its ok, will call you nearer the time with details.
All the best to everyone!! and have a merry xmas, will catch you all soon. Ian xxxx

Hello Melissa, Mark, and Ian. Whats this I hear about rough seas and people throwing up on the Ferry to Koh Tao, seriously though glad you all made it safely, and I bet you are lookinng forward to some diving.
You arn't missing much here, its all pretty lights, chock-a-block traffic, and high prices and people spending money not yet earned, and the Whiffler postponing the Monday Club till January, and what would December in UK be like without cold, dark days.
On a brighter note we are getting away for Christmas to be spoilt with someone elses turkey and crackers.
Look forward to hearing about your latest adventures on this site, so please sober up and send a message to the poor relations in Norwich. Take care, and avoud sting rays when diving.
Mel keep an eye on your dad, Mark keep an eye on Mel.
Love from Me and Nan

Well what a night, I think! Got home at 4.30 this morning well and truly wasted. Now having 4th cup of tea trying to recover, not very good. Mel and Mark are not up yet and its midday...piss heads. The food out here is unbelievable. Went out last night had sea bass, you pick the fish from a tank and they catch it etc for you, we had a huge meal with drinks and between us it was 505 bart which is about 7 quid. I have to go now as need to have another mug of tea. Lovely to hear from you all, Anne have a lovely Xmas and see you in the new year. Barry ebenezer scrooge hope you have got over you spending spree? Mum/Dad have a nice time in Scotland.
