Hooray, another entry! This was wonderful, to read the contentment in your words. And then the photos of your family, their home and farm...looks so lovely and simple. We can hardly wait to see you and hear about this experience firsthand. Thanks, Megan!

Wow! Pura vida. How beautiful. You are learning some valuable life lessons along with biology, huh? I am so happy for you. Thank you for sharing.

YAY!!! Another blog entry from Megan! I'm waiting for Mike to get home for supper, and what a nice way to spend my time. It sounds absolutely gorgeous, the experience of a lifetime!
Mike got home between "absolutely" and "gorgeous" and supper's now done. Looking forward to reading more... Love you!

I have sympathy itching for all your bug bites-- ugh! Still, this is wonderful stuff Megan-- thanks for keeping us all up to date!

Megan- I am so pleased to see you flurish in the ways that this location and experience can only supply. I have wondered many times how you were doing. I feel as though (as I would have suspected-photography) just by what your pictures illustrate you are succeeding in making or realizing all that you can during this time. Your words further express how much you appreciate all things (and where you fit in that). I think hearing your take on how spiritual this experience is makes me the most envious and extremely happy for you.
Reeeeeeeeaaaaaaalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly! at work love to write more soon.

Finally found your blog again...and I think I'm caught up now. Such fun! Well, not the itchiness, but all the birds and other animals...and showermates. I could live without a cockroach in my shower, but a frog would be fun! It does sound like Paradise, and I trust it is feeding your spirit as well as satisfying your thirst for learning. Looking forward to seeing you in a few months! (I still have to do something with our youth and the environmental footprint exercise.) Love you! Deb

Hi, great blog for all of us to read! Too bad about all the bug bites but at least you are in a relatively unspoiled part of the world where there are still some species that haven't been completely eradicated through pesticides and other means. Great pictures, might print a few out and send to grandma Pat. Keep writing those incredibly thorough and descriptive journal entries and taking those photos. Love, Dad

Nice pictures, though it's going to take me a while to get through all of them. I think it's hilarious that a ctenosaur stole your pizza. It's probably hard to get too upset about losing your lunch to a lizard. Can't wait to hear more about the snorkeling and beach camping!

Great looking site Megan. Thanks for all the information, what an experience! I'm going to print out your updates, etc.. and mail to grandma Pat. We've been reading all about Costa Rica and envisioning where you are. Looking forward to the next installment.
Love, Dad

Wed, Feb 20 I see you are in Playa Hermosa today. Sounds like a beach day. I have been following your itinerary on a Costa Rica map. Wonder how many pictures you've taken already?! Seen any of those poisonous snakes - yikes! Love ya.
