Chang Mai, Thailand
Well guys it's been a week and what a week it has been have a look below to see what we've been upto:
Day 1:
We arrived at the airport without any mis-haps..... so far so good, unfortunatley our first flight was delayed to Manchester so had time to waste, not realising ronaldsway airport can't be bothered to update their flight boards wenearly missed our flight and looked like the retards holding everyone upwhen we finally walked on to the plane ... no change there then!
We got to Manchester safe and sound and suprise, suprise another delayed flight down to heathrow but the good news once we got on the plane it was FREE food and drink woo hoo, so then we had another 4 hours to wait .....GREAT
At last we were on the last flight of the day to Bangkok followed by the worst nights sleep i think i've ever had then followed by the worst breakfast.
Day 2:
So we finally arrived in Bangkok and it doesn't feel real yet, we landed at 3:30pm so then was the task of getting through Immigration, hoping i had filled in the forms correctly ...... don't worry i had!!!
Then to pick up our bags first mine cam out then stephs, then fays who's bag strap had got stuck on the conveor belt , luckily some randomer came to her rescue as me and steph watched and laughed, then we ventured out side for a taxi ....mmmm SWEAT it was sooooooo hot, finally arrived at the hostel to find out our rooms contained a bed and a fan...BASIC!!
So we got changed and wondered out to find Koh San Road it was abosolutley chocka, fay and staph shared a bucked...yes a bucket of alcohol, unfortunatley my feet had swelled to twice teir size and had to stick to softs drinks with my tablets, and by midnight we went back to the hostel even tho the party was in full swing.
Day 3:
We ventured out to find the Grand Palace and while looking on the mapto see where we were meant to be going (as we were lost) a thai man came to help us, so he got us a tuk tuk to take us to some big tall statue____thing then to the government tourist office which when we came out of we were 765 quid out of pocket ........ this wasn't what we had planned for but we had accomodation, travel and activities booked for theentire month so we weren't conned to much????
After that we had spent enough money for one day and got the tuk tuk back to koh san road to eat and drown our sorrows with cheap beer after several drinks we headed back to the hostel but stopped off for one last one around the corner from the hostel, where we seen a thai man carrying a catwith a plastic bag tied around it's head, while walking along and laughing, every one was shocked and a another tourist tried to get the bag off the cats head after a struggle with the man he eventually go the bag off it's head as we couldn't get this image out of our heads we went back to the hostel bar for a drink where we started speaking to some fellow travellers from the Netherlands, Germany & France before heading off to bed.
