On arrival into Nazca we were met by a women from the hotel. I was taken to a hospital/clinic where my wounds were cleaned and a bit of gauze was slapped on. Then I sterilized my split mouth further with some beer. However that night my chin was still bleeding!
The next morning we were told we would be picked up for our Nazca flight around 11:30am. You are advised not to eat because it can get very bumpy up there so naturally I was starving. At the airport we had to wait an 1 1/2 with me getting increasingly irate as many people came, flew and landed whilst we still sat there! Just when we thought we were ready we had to wait a further 15 minutes sat in our 3 seater plane with our pilot Mirko and a dutch women (who was to stalk us in both Arequipa and Machu Picchu!).
The flight itself was great fun. The talkative dutch lady soon shut up after taking off as it was very turbulent. I´m not sure she even managed to take any photos. Simone also felt sick but I was just hungry!
After the flight we had a wander round the town and hung around the hotel until our night bus to Arequipa that evening.
