So we got up Saturday morning and had breakfast at the hotel. Ham, bread you know the drill, but the espresso machine was the star!! I pulled myself three shots, and a few for the others
The hotel was just up the street from everything. It was great it had a huge bed and the bathroom was nearly the size of our room in Paris. Also the bathroom had a tub.... Joy!!! So imagine we exit the hotel walk a few blocks and Presto... The Coliseum !
In what amounts to 24 hours un Rome I had gelatto twice. Pizza and a great pasta dinner.
I thought that we'd get up,have breakfast and head for the airport. Troy had other plans. Somehow ( maybe he's a time bender) we managed to get in some shopping, more pizza and gelatto. Add to that list the Pantheon and would you believe the Trevi Fountain. ( yes I made a wish )
After a quick taxi back to the hotel, we gathered our things and...Arrivederci Roma!
Did I mention that we flew Kuwait Airways? Man these guys know how to do it. On both flights ( going and coming ) the meals were top notch. The handed out towels to freshen up and they served coffee and tea from silver teapots. ( maybe they were stainless, but I was impressed nonetheless)
Mi è piaciuto molto.
(I enjoyed myself very much)
