Today is the fourth day I have been in Italy. I have seen so many different and amazing sites. I didn't know that Italy was so much different than Colorado. It's sort of hard to get around because the Italians speak a different language, but I know the basic words like hello, good bye, food, hotel, etc. I am staying at the most amazing hotel ever. It's probably one of the fanciest hotels I've been to.
I had never been to a foreign country before so I didn't know what to expect but so far it's been great! The first day I was here I went to the Colosseum in Rome. It was amazing!! I learned that the Colosseum was built by the Emperor Vespasian. Also, it was a place that in the old days people would fight with a lion to their death.
The second day I was here I went to the Fontana Di Trevi. By the way it's a fountain. It is one of the best fountains in Rome! That night I went to the restaurant Alle Testieve for dinner. It was absolutely AMAZING!!! For my main course, I had the Tagliatella with Shaved Pepperoni. For dessert I had the Flan. It was delicious! I'd eat there again!
Lastly, yesterday I went to the Sistine Chapel. It was gorgeous. It was awesome to see something that was painted entirely by one man. Michelangello! He went blind because throughout the painting process, he laid on his back and dried paint chips fell into his eyes.
I only have three days left in Italy before I leave for Finland. But in three days I can do more than you can imagine! I'll get back to you at the end of the week. Arrivederci.
