Finally!! We got to release one of our turtles!! It was so exciting to see him running for the open ocean. We took him to a beach that I had never been too before. It's on monkey island and even though it is really close to the bay, the water is clean and the beach is a lot cleaner than you would expect! I can't wait to go back and explore it a little more!
We had a group from the Rtiz-Carlton come visit today, and although I was really nervous the night before, it all went without a hitch! Everyone loved getting a tour of the village and also having the chance to feed and clean the turtles. The night before me and Emma had to finish painting the deck. We were like 4 strokes shy of paint, but we managed to make it look great.. well it looked great when we were painting..at night... but in the morning it ws a bit more blotchy than I remembered.. it still looked better than before! We got this grippy mat to help prevent people from falling. I decided I would be the test dummy to make sure it actually works. On the first jump the "grippy" mat flew out from underneath me. It didn't hurt that bad, but I definately wasn't expecting it.
I only have one month left in China. The other day, a motorcyle pulled in to the restaurant we were eating at and it made me think of all the funny things about China the things I like most are:
1. a motorcyle is allowed to drive right in and park inside the restaurant
2. cops where crocs
3. men use the most girly umbrellas I have ever seen in my life
4. I can get delicious fruit anytime I want
5. A smoothie costs me less than a dollar
6. 3 scoops of ice cost less than a dollar
7. Sea turtles!!
8. Taylor swift and High School musical songs are played in random locations
I have many, many mosquito bites now. I'm reading a book where the main character talks about mosquito bites and meditating until they no longer itch or burn. I have tried that, but I can't seem to get passed the one minute mark. She makes it sound so much more realistic in the book.
Sorry this one is so short, but not much has been going on besides daily maintenance and turtle care. Hopefully, we can get our new turtles rehabiliated so they can eat and swim on their own. We have a few that are still being tube-fed, and even the ones capable of eating on their own still are not strong enough to really swim around.
Hope everyone's doing great!!!

Bev Sounds like fun, minus the mosquitos!
jenni hahaha, way to go Marvin!! yeah Laura, you really gotta Zen out with the skeeter bites, I'm not very good at it either. my favorite thing in China (besides sea turtles and you) is Jackie Chan hair care products.
Laura Ahh... how could I forget to have included all things Jackie Chan. Jenni, you are so wise.
Megan Laura your trip sounds so fun! enjoy your last month.. and please find a way to take a pic of a cop in crocs. my life may be complete if I see this.
