A beautiful wild life resort, an amazing big pool, great safaris with leopards and elephants was waiting for us...on the description :(
The room were sill nice. Very big, nice bathrooms and 20m to the beach.
Food was ok, staff very rude. Had a big argument with the manager, as we wanted to have dinner with our driver. Not allowed. Drivers cant eat with white people....! Different classes- in their mind.
The pool was a green soup. The staff tried to convince us, it was the color of the tiles...aha!
BUT the beach was absolutely stunning. Untouched. Nobody there.
As soon as it went dark, we had to call reception to send us a guide, who would take us to and from the restaurant. Why.? Because of some wild animals, in particular the elephants.
Every time we walked to and from the room, we met some nice snakes. Fortunately, only once a very big one, which liturally jumped into a tree - disguising.
The area was full full full, of my worst nightmare- (Tom and Andrea: close to bbb...bin juice), geckos and lizards. They were everywhere. The small ones are ok, but the 20-50-100cm are actually not ok.
The lake below the pool was full of crocodiles, behind trees with monkeys.
We booked the 5.30am safari, because that's the ne, where ou can see most animals. Well, we drove round for 3.5h and saw NAFF-ALL. A few. Crocs, some storcs, buffaloes. The leapards were hiding...
We figured that monsoon time migh not be the best for safaris, as animals don't need to move to find water.
Well, after the big disappointment n the morning, we hang out n our room, when I received a phone call from Nat, shouting in my ear: there is an elephant outside the room.
And there he was. Just taking half of some trees down to have a snack. Amazing.
So in the end we had our private safari in the resort. It was strange, a little disappointing, but absolutely awesome at the same time..And again a new experience.
