McKay Family Adventure
Today we went to the Lamberts Centre of Australia. There was a monument, that was placed here in 1990. This marks the geographical centre of the Australian mainland. All around there was bush. For lunch we lit a fire and made jaffles. I picked flowers. Then we went back to Kulgera (about 150km down a dirt road, requiring a bit of 4WD-ing!) and went to the pub for tea.
My description of the centre of Australia -
At the Lamberts centre of Australia there is a big monument made from metal, surrounded by tall half dead trees, bushes, tall dry grass, purple, pink, yellow and white flowers and heaps of red sand. Scattered around the place were little purple berries.
