Had a few problems getting to the station in Siliguri due to all the road closures for the holidays - our taxi ended up making us get out and get an auto-rickshaw, but we got to the station with 30 mins to spare. Then our name wasn't on the list of passangers...but evntually someone found us our cabins. We got to Kolkata fine this morning after a 11 hour night train. Katie was in a cabin with some rich Indians, and Mark was with 3 army guys with big guns!

We've found somewhere nice to stay and booked a 4 hour boat trip for tommorrow night. Mark's bank card has been eaten by an ATM but all is good because Katie has money!!!

Going to go exploring around Kolkata now. Its hot!
