Washington DC (day 1)
We went into the mall of Washington D.C. today with our cousins, Zac and Ellie. We first went to the Australian Embassy, where my uncle works. The building wasn't as interesting as some of the other Embassys, but it was good to see something Australian again. We then walked over to the Lincoln Memorial which had the big statue of Abe Lincoln (like seen in The Night at the Museum 2). Some of the other cool monuments included the Vietnam and World War 2 memorials. We even saw the White House!!! We got some lunch from a vendor (the lunch wasn't flash hot) and then our group went over to the Smithsonian Mueseum of American History. Some of the favourites exibits were seeing Fonz's jackey, Kermit the Frog, the hall of warfare and the Star Spangled Banner. We then got a icecream because it was a really hot and humid day. We caught the metro and then went back to our aunt and uncles house.
