Hello to you all, sorry its been a wee bit longer for us to update this time, we have been relaxing sunning ourselves on beaches and hitting some great theme parks!!! Before we go any further we have to say a big Congrats to Monica and Mark on the arrival of baby Matthew and to Chris on the arrival of baby Katie.........anybody else for anymore??? We are also patiently awaiting the arrival of a new family member who is due I believe on Thursday of next week.........we will keep you all updated. All our love to Marie-Clare and Jim and let us know as soon as the baby makes its first appearance! Well onto ourselves...what have we been up to over the past 2 weeks............well it would probably be quicker letting you know what we havent done but that would just be boring!!! We left Vegas and headed to Long Beach where we stayed in The Queen Mary cruiseliner of all places (hontestly!)....it was like a scene out of the titanic (without that sinking feeling). Went to the Hollywood walk of fame and what can we say, its a bunch of stars on a sidewalk!!! Went to the Chinese Theatre but couldnt get in as there was premiere that night, also ventured through the Kodak Theatre (the oscars) and the El Capitan which is where the first viewing of all movies are made. Hollywood is not the cleanest place you have ever seen and has more beggars than San fran so we were glad we were not staying central. We were also taken on a tour of the different stars homes around LA and Beverly Hills, didnt manage to get many pics but the houses were out of this world. managed to get 1 house though and this one is for Kez....wait for it....Columbos Abode (we know how much you love him)!!! Universal Studios was fab and there are lots of pictures for you all to mull over. We were happiest as usual on the rides getting our brains thrown around our heads and soaked. Oh and kidz, how jealous are you, I got to meet both Shrek and Princess Fiona (even got a little kiss off of Shrek, Greg was soooooo jealous!)....oh and Donkey also put in an appearance!!! One thing to be aware of if you decide to go is that you have to wait an hour or more to get on most rides! While we were in the mood for some crazy rollercoasters we decided to head to Santa Clarita and the Six Flags Theme Park..........you wouldnt believe the size of some of the rides here!! Managed to get a couple of pics when we were there but not many as we were having such a mental time.... def lost some brain cells with the g-force we put ourselves through that day! The most crazy of all rides were the Superman and Goliath which went at 85mph with drops of over 250 feet! California has so many beautiful beaches down the coast of Highway 1, we went to as many as possible over the past few weeks, Redondo, Venice, Santa Monica, Malibu, Long Beach....the list goes on! We have spent a fair few days lazing and sunning ourselves on many of the above beaches and have a few pics of the beaches and even fewer with us actually on them, wouldnt want to scare the kiddies!!!! Joking aside its a great way to spend your days and some of your evenings as well! Hope you have enjoyed the update, its not been as manic the past couple of weeks but we head to New Zealand tomorrow and have our first taste of proper backpacking. In a hostel in Auckland for the 1st 3 days, I think there may be some crazy nights ahead and some thumping headaches to match (ahhhh just like home!!)....then off in our Venga Bus for 3 weeks (the Venga Bus being our Campervan).
